My one-month journey with Betiyan Foundation has been an enriching and transformative experience. It provided me with the opportunity to serve society in a meaningful way—whether it was through feeding the needy, educating underprivileged children, planting trees, caring for stray animals, or gaining awareness about domestic violence and legal systems.Working closely with the foundation not only deepened my understanding of the social challenges faced by underprivileged communities but also helped me grow as a responsible and empathetic individual. The dedication of the team and the impact of their work truly inspired me and reaffirmed the belief that small efforts can lead to big changes. I am grateful to have been a part of Betiyan Foundation’s mission to empower girls and uplift communities, and I look forward to continuing my contribution to social causes in the future.

Before this internship, social work was something I had only read about in textbooks or seen from a distance. The internship at Betiyan Foundation brought me face-to-face with real people, real problems, and real solutions In the long term, I see myself integrating social responsibility into whatever career path I choose. Whether I work in the corporate world, public policy, education, or healthcare, I want to ensure that equity, inclusivity, and sustainability are always a part of the work I do. Eventually, I also hope to create or support initiatives that promote women’s empowerment, education for all, and mental health awareness.This internship taught me that change doesn’t have to be grand — it just has to be consistent. We don’t need to wait for the perfect moment to help others. We can begin with what we have, wherever we are. My experience with Betiyan Foundation was more than just an internship — it was a journey of self-discovery, learning, and unlearning. It challenged my assumptions, deepened my empathy, and inspired me to act. I now see social work not just as a responsibility but as a privilege — an opportunity to stand up for those who are unheard and to create a better, more compassionate world.

I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the invaluable opportunity to work under your guidance at Betiyaan Foundation. The experience deepened my understanding of how law, social advocacy, and institutional support come together to create meaningful change. From conducting menstrual hygiene awareness sessions in schools to participating in Kanya Janam Mahotsav and Namami Gange campaigns, every initiative allowed me to engage directly with the community. Observing negotiation proceedings and visiting institutions like Sakhi–Aasha Jyoti Kendra and the CWC gave me unique insight into the human side of legal work. I particularly appreciated the opportunity to contribute to the stress management workshop for police trainees and coordinate a plantation drive — both experiences that blended outreach with on-ground action.
